Over the years I have accumulated a large collection of documents, photos and other items that formed the basis for my published books and articles. I continue to search out interesting stories and images for possible use in future projects. Obviously, not all of this material can find a place in my works. The purpose this blog is to shine a light on various items that are interesting and historically relevant. In some cases this will be previously unknown items; other times I will expand on known topics. Occasionally, I will correct information I know to be wrong or outdated. In addition, I frequently exchange information and photos with enthusiasts, scale modelers and surviving families of veterans who want to know more about the topics I have covered in my books.
